This was my first real musical endeavor. I had been learning to play guitar in school and on my own for a few years on and off from 1974-1985. After getting married in 1985, my wife and I relocated from NY to VT. While working there I met two guys who would become my first band mates, Greg Hites (Guitar) and Marty Lynch (Guitar). They were already playing with a drummer Ken. I had to buy and learn how to play the bass to get into the band. Greg and I shared the singing duties, Greg played most of the leads with Marty popping in for flavor. We played mostly classic rock covers. I even got to do a bass solo on "Down By The River" [Neil Young]. We labored for 1.5 years to get good enough to play out but it never really materialized. Ken the drummer was replaced by Mike when he moved out of town. We loved and really missed Ken but Mike became a true Rock Brother. I still have a bunch of cassette tape recording of our practice sessions. Hopefully I can convert some of them to MP3 so I can share them on this site. Near the end we were dabbling with original music written by Greg and I. It was a great experience and a lot of fun. I miss Thursday nights at "The Threshold" (our practice venue). Rock ON, Rock Brothers.
